The curriculum we follow is exactly that of a school nursery with a smaller ratio of just 1 to 8. Sessions in this room may be taken as full or half day (see our Table of Fees) or term time only and sessional - please ask for details, we are happy to discuss your requirements.
We continue to encourage independence using the "I can........" approach as our starting point and then build on that. We aim to have each child able to put on and fasten their own coat and shoes for outdoor play. Children self select where at all possible at meal times serving themselves and using metal cutlery. Children's planning is supported by the children's interests and current stage of development. Their next steps are catered for with support and challenge opportunities available at all times. Maths and literacy are key focus areas with creative and imaginative activities throughout each day ensuring there is something for everyone.

My two year old daughter loves Pippins. She enjoys the diversity of daily activities on offer. When she gets home she loves telling us all about her day. All the staff go to every length to create a friendly warm environment which feels very homely.

My little one has been in Pippins since she was 11 months and is nearly 4 years now and she absolutely loves it there! She has developed into a confident little girl and Pippins have definitely prepared her for school. The staff are supportive and treat each child as an individual.

It’s the end of an era for us and we can’t thank you enough for the love and care that you’ve provided for our two children over the years. You’re all stars x
